The Arizona State Sun Devils (4-4) emerged from their trip to upstate New York with a series split against the Colgate Raiders (5-2). ASU lost Friday by a score of 8-3 before rebounding on Sunday with a 4-3 win in overtime.
Freshman forward Josh Doan led the Sun Devils in scoring during the series with three goals, followed closely by senior forward Jack Becker, who had two. ASU’s power play continued its streak of excellent performances, going 4-14 (28%) in the series.
Senior goaltender Ben Kraws made 29 saves on 32 shots in the Sun Devils’ game two win, while sophomore Cole Brady had a performance to forget in game one, allowing six goals on 22 shots before being pulled for Kraws.
