Arizona State golfer Cameron Sisk won two matches Thursday to reach the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur.
Sisk defeated Australian Jack Trent, 3 and 2, in the round of 32 then beat Davis Lamb, 5 and 3, at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon. He will face Charles Osborne in the quarterfinals Friday.
Against Trent, Sisk trailed after six holes before eagling the 575-yard ninth. He birdied No. 11, 13, 14 and 16 (offsetting a bogey at 15) to advance to the round of 16.
Sisk birdied the first playoff hole Wednesday to make the round of 64 then beat Ben Shipp, 5 and 4, before facing Trent.
