The Arizona State men’s golf team was fortunate to miss the rain in recent days as they were at Erin Hills Golf Course, home of the 2017 U.S Open, to participate in the Marquette Intercollegiate.
After holding the two day lead, the Sun Devils fell short of the Northwestern Wildcats, who posted a 12-under, 276 in the final round of the tournament, to finish at 6-under par, two strokes ahead of ASU. Rounding out the podium is the host team, Marquette, finished third with a 4-over, 868 team score.
Junior Alex Del Rey, who finished seven-under, led the way for the Sun Devils as he was the only player in the tournament to finish each round under par.
