After a tumultuous first quarter, both defenses held strong in the second — until special teams failed the Sun Devils.
Leading 17-7 with 45 seconds until the half, Royce Freeman muffed a punt at ASU's 12-yard line. On the very next play, Oregon running back Royce Freeman converted a touchdown run as the Sun Devils took a slim 17-14 lead into the break.
