Arizona State football leaned heavily — almost exclusively — on Eno Benjamin at running back the last two seasons.
The productive and durable Benjamin answered every call, taking 84% of the running back carries in 2018 and 2019 while rushing for a combined 2,725 yards (87% of the running back total) and 26 touchdowns (96%). He leaves a year early for the NFL as the school single season rushing leader (1,642 yards).
Benjamin being special is one major takeaway. The other is that ASU is unlikely to be as fortunate at the position going forward and needs a larger group of backs to choose from at minimum to mitigate injury risk.
