Arizona State freshman defensive tackle George Lea has been indefinitely suspended following a campus BB gun incident that has brought about serious charges.
Lea on Monday night was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary involving a weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful imprisonment. Per team policy, coach Todd Graham immediately suspended Lea, who enrolled at ASU early and participated in spring practice, where he impressed coaches.
"ASU football players are held to high standards and are expected to exercise good discipline and judgment on and off the field," the school said in a statement.
