Spring football is right around the corner, and Arizona State’s coaching staff is all but complete.
In addition to Rob Sale joining the program as its new offensive line coach, the Sun Devils brought in Michael Slater to coach its defensive line unit. Both hires were officially announced Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, it was reported Sales had accepted the job, leaving his post at Louisiana-Monroe.
Meanwhile, Slater will replace outgoing defensive line coach Joe Seumalo after previously coaching at Kansas last season. Prior to joining the Jayhawks’ staff, he served as a graduate assistant at Rice from 2009-11, before getting promoted as the Owls’ defensive line coach, serving in such capacity from 2012-15.
