The Pac-12 has canceled Sunday's game between ASU and Utah, the conference announced in a statement Tuesday.
The game will be declared a no contest, according to conference policy.
ASU had hoped to be on the practice field late this week in preparation for the game, which had been moved from Saturday to Sunday to allow ASU another day of preparation.
The game was scheduled to be played in Tempe.
Ray Anderson, ASU's Vice President for Athletics said in a statement, however, that the team had to invoke the Pac-12's cancellation policy because the team didn't have the minimum number of scholarship players available for the contest because of COVID-19 return-to-play protocols.
