One week ago, ASU had no 2019 commits and a massive question mark at the quarterback position moving forward. A week later, Herm Edwards and Co. have checked both boxes.
After getting a commitment from three-star quarterback Ethan Long on Monday, Joey Yellen, a four-star pro-style quarterback, according to 247Sports, committed to the Maroon and Gold via Twitter on Sunday.
The 6-foot-2, 211-pound signal caller from Mission Viejo, California is ranked as the 13th-best pro-style quarterback in 247Sports’ rankings. Although he sits 25 spots above Long, Yellen told Sun Devil Source that he is going to embrace the competition.
