Former Sun Devil and Arizona Cardinals running back D.J. Foster was moved from the practice squad to the team’s active 53-man roster Saturday, the team announced.

Foster replaced wide receiver KeeSean Johnson’s spot, who was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list Friday. The move allows Foster to be eligible for Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Cardinals released Foster last week as part of their effort to trim down their final roster before the league-mandated deadline.
