Kobe Williams walked to the Arizona State sideline moments after Arizona's Shawn Poindexter had beaten him for a 23-yard touchdown reception early in the Territorial Cup showdown last season. He was greeted by defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales who asked the 5-foot-9 Williams if he wanted help covering the 6-6 wide receiver.
"Don't you dare," Williams said.
Williams took the momentary defeat personally. He regrouped nicely, not giving up another big play, and the Sun Devils rallied for a 41-40 victory over their most bitter rival.
