EL PASO, Texas — Seniors Khaylan-Kearse Thomas and Kobe Williams have been through a lot in their Arizona State football careers. Coaching changes, coordinator changes. So they couldn't contain their excitement as the Sun Devils celebrated a 20-14 victory over Florida State in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl Tuesday afternoon.
It wasn't the prettiest of games. ASU (8-5) won the game despite not getting an offensive touchdown. It's points came on four Cristian Zendejas field goals and a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown by true freshman Willie Harts who was playing for the absent Cam Phillips.
