Herm Edwards began Friday soaring with the Blue Angels and ended it under the lights with the Sun Devils.
It’s just part of the ride the Arizona State football coach is embracing as the new face of the program and the man responsible for getting ASU back to the level of success that former coach Todd Graham experienced in his first three seasons (combined 28-12 record).
Because ASU is practicing on Friday nights to coordinate with a 7 p.m. spring game April 13, Edwards took advantage of a morning invitation to fly with the Blue Angels in the back seat of a F/A-18 Hornet at Luke Air Force Base.
