The Arizona State basketball team took the court Saturday night with a share of first place on the line and delivered, slipping past Oregon State 74-73.
The win was the seventh straight and ninth in the last 10 outings for the Sun Devils (19-8, 10-4).
Five players finished in double figures with Remy Martin and Alonzo Verge each tallying 17. Romello White had 15 as well as a team-high seven rebounds. Kimani Lawrence added a season-high 14 and Rob Edwards 10.
The Beavers (15-12, 5-10) had the ball for the last time down by one and a 3-pointer by Jarod Lucas caromed off the rim.
