Arizona State athletics, working collaboratively with the Pac-12, is indefinitely cancelling all athletic events.
That decision was made Thursday, less than 24 hours after ASU said it would continue to hold public events including in athletics as scheduled.
Athletic events impacted through March 20 include the Pac-12 Championships for men’s basketball in Las Vegas; home baseball series vs Utah scheduled to begin Friday and a non-conference home game against Arizona on Tuesday; a softball series at UCLA; and home events for men’s tennis, lacrosse and track.
The Pac-12 said in its statement Thursday: “The Pac-12 Conference has made the decision to cancel the remainder of the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament and all Pac-12 sport competitions and Pac-12 Championship events, effective immediately, until further notice.
