The rundown: Another Ned Wulk team that reached the Elite Eight, but this featured one of ASU’s best players in history Lionel Hollins, who later became a NBA head coach. Wulk’s team only lost four contests all season; Oregon, Colorado State, UTEP and UCLA. The Bruins stood in the way the Elite Eight, the Sun Devils fell to the eventually champions.
