Washington and Washington State are a combined 0-9 since last playing Arizona State, both falling behind ASU in the Pac-12 standings.
That only makes them more dangerous to ASU coach Bobby Hurley, in part because of the trials his team has gone through this season.
"We know how they must feel right now because of what the mood was like here," Hurley said of the season, particularly during a four-game losing streak in January and early season blowout losses to Kentucky and Purdue. "We would expect a response, that they're going to fight and battle and look to get a win.
