The Arizona State Sun Devils’ 76-64 win over Vanderbilt proved as a freaky test. Down early, big shots, lots of noise. ASU rose to the occasion under a national microscope.
A packed Wells Fargo Arena hadn’t seen the team ranked in-person since 2009. They hadn’t seen the team in the top-5 since 1981. All 10,797 of them saw the Sun Devils go 10-0 for the first time in program history.
ASU had two turnovers in its first three possessions, started the game 0-9 from three-point range and trailed 13-0 to start the game.
