The Arizona State Men's Basketball team opened up their 2016-2017 season with an 88-70 win over Portland State.
Although it was a good team effort, it was the guards that really carried the Sun Devils to this victory. With junior guard Shannon Evans II and senior guard Torian Graham making their competitive debuts in a Sun Devil jersey, they did not disappoint.
Evans II finished with 19 points while Graham finished with 23 while shooting 9-11 from the field (5-6 from three). Junior guard Tra Holder also added 23 points making the combined total from the three players 65 out of the 88 total Sun Devil points.
