The Arizona State men's basketball program has its first commitment for the 2021 class and it comes from a local, well sort of.
The new addition is 6-foot-6 point guard Demari Williams, who is now at Glendale Dream City Christian but is a recent transfer to that school after playing previously at Fulshear High School in Texas.
Williams was named the District 25-4A MVP and was also selected to the Texas High School Basketball Coaches all-region and all-state teams.
He averaged 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals as a sophomore, then improved to 21 points, six rebounds and three assists as a junior.
