It has taken awhile, but Arizona State finally has its nonconference men's basketball schedule set.
The Sun Devils did have an attractive set of games that preceded Pac-12 play, highlighted by one against Creighton, but those were wiped away when the sport was put on hold due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. When the conference was able to return thanks to new daily testing protocols, coach Bobby Hurley had to start from scratch.
He couldn't find ranked teams willing to travel so his team will be hitting the road with the first two games coming at the Empire Classic next week at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
