Sun Devil nation can breath a little easier. It looks like head basketball coach Bobby Hurley is staying, at least judging by his own statement on Twitter
Hurley had been rumored to be high on the wish list of St. John's with that school's head coach Chris Mullin stepping down earlier this week. St. John's athletic director Mike Cragg worked in the Duke athletic department for 30 years, which included time when Hurley was a player there and the two have remained in touch.
That and Hurley's roots on the East Coast fueled speculation that the Red Storm would pursue him for the vacant position
But Hurley just put out a statement on Twitter that he is working on a contract extension with Ray Anderson, ASU's Vice President for University Athletics.
