Arizona State men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley is receiving a two-year contract extension through June 2024 that if completed will bring him $1.5 million in retention bonuses.
Hurley, 47, reportedly was pursued by St. John's after taking ASU to a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time since 1980-81.
He put an end to that speculation in April with a social-media post saying he was in discussions to extend his ASU contract.
That extension will go before the Arizona Board of Regents for approval at its meeting June 12-14 in Flagstaff.
Hurley's current contract expires on June 30, 2022.
