If ASU was tired from its 16-inning marathon victory on Friday night, they sure didn’t show it. The Sun Devils jumped all over Washington on Saturday, riding a big fourth inning and strong pitching to a series clinching 8-1 victory over the Huskies in Seattle.
Trailing by one run in the fourth inning, the ASU bats came alive. Freshman Jack Moss got the party started, continuing his successful inaugural campaign by blasting a two-run homer to right field and giving his team the lead.
The Sun Devils did not look back.
Later in the same inning, a Joe Lampe double and two walks brought up Drew Swift with the bases loaded.
