Arizona State baseball's return to the NCAA Tournament, seemingly a forgone conclusion since one of the best starts in school history, became official Monday with the 64-team field announcement.
ASU (37-17) is a No. 2 regional seed in Baton Rouge, La., and will open play Friday against No. 3 seed Southern Mississippi (38-19). LSU (37-24) is the regional host and No. 13 national seed and will open against No. 4 regional seed Stony Brook (30-21).
