Arizona State baseball is almost certainly going to hit and score runs, beyond last season when Spencer Torkelson led the nation in home runs and now departed Gage Canning was first in triples.
It's reasonable to assume that ASU, with a slew of more experienced position players, will improve on defense from a fielding percentage ranked No. 230 nationally.
The central question then becomes what about pitching? Do the Sun Devils have enough quality and quantity on the mound to stop the bleeding after consecutive 23-32 seasons and return to the NCAA Tournament?
