ASU Baseball: No. 16 Sun Devils drop Saturday finale against Utah

With a series win already in hand, No. 16 Arizona State (30-8, 12-6 Pac-12) couldn’t secure a sweep in the Saturday finale of a three-game set against Utah (12-21, 4-14 Pac-12). The Sun Devils fell 6-3 in game full of hits.

With sophomore pitcher RJ Dabovich still out of the lineup as the Devils normal day three weekend starter, freshman pitcher Luke La Flam got the nod for his first collegiate start on Saturday.

The first-year pitcher went three innings while allowing eight hits and four runs. The Utes didn’t give him a warm welcome either. In the first inning, they plated three runs courtesy of a three-run home run from Utah senior outfielder Erick Migueles.
