Arizona State’s pitching and defense held together for an entire game Saturday night in a 3-2 win over No. 21 Arizona.
UA had an 11-5 edge in hits at Phoenix Municipal Stadium but left 10 on base, going 1-of-12 with runners in scoring position.
ASU turned double plays in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings to back solid pitching by Justin Fall (4-1) and Will Levine.
The Sun Devils (17-7, 5-4 Pac-12) won the Pac-12 series finale after losing 10-5 Thursday and 7-6 Friday. UA dropped to 18-8, 5-4.

Fall gave up eight hits but only one run over six plus innings, exiting with a 3-1 lead but two Wildcats on with no outs in the seventh.
