ASU Baseball: Devils escape close game, sweep Washington State

Arizona State is the last undefeated team in D-I baseball. ASU defeated Washington State, 6-5, to win their 19th straight game to start the season, the second-best start to a season in the program’s history.

Both Saturday and Sunday’s games were decided by one run, just the third and fourth games of that type this season.

Arizona State’s Alika Williams went 4-for-4 at the plate, including two RBIs. WSU’s Collin Montez had a notable afternoon as well, with two doubles and an RBI on 3-for-4 batting.

RJ Dabovich struggled on the mound, allowing multiple earned runs for the first time since February against Notre Dame.
