After a cancelled game due to rain on Saturday, Arizona State (36-19, 13-11 Pac-12) was going to attempt to play two games on Sunday to try and round out a three-game series with Cal (30-18, 15-11 Pac-12).
The schedule was tentative, and the two teams were only able to get one game under their belt. There was a rain delay in Sunday’s game that caused more time to be lost, and the final matchup of the series ended up getting cancelled and will not be made up.
Therefore, there was only one contest on Sunday, and the Devils fell on the wrong side of it.
