A year after he was the lone Sun Devil picked in the MLB Draft, Arizona State right-handed junior Connor Higgins was taken by the Los Angeles Angeles in the 30th round as the 901st overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft.
Higgins was drafted in the 35th round by the Rangers in 2017. Shall he wish to stay with ASU again, he has one more year of eligibility.
The 6-5, 240-pound Orefield, Pennsylvania native went 2-2 with a 6.41 ERA in 26 2⁄3 innings for ASU in his junior season. His best season came in his sophomore year when he threw for a 3.
