Arizona State women's basketball advances to NCAA Tournament's second round

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Arizona State women's basketball team has gotten healthy at the perfect time. Quinn Dornstauder led a balanced attack as the No. 8-seeded Sun Devils beat No. 9-seed Michigan State 73-61 on Friday night in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

Arizona State has won at least one game in 10 of its past 11 NCAA appearances and advanced out of the first round for the fourth consecutive year. The Sun Devils (20-12) will face top-seeded South Carolina on Sunday in the second round of the Stockton Regional. The time has not been announced yet.
