The last thing the Arizona State Sun Devils wanted was to end the season on the road in the middle of December, especially in what has not necessarily been an easy venue for them lately in Oregon State's Reser Stadium.
It was the fifth home game for the Beavers while ASU has had just one. But the Sun Devils prodded on and chalked up a 46-33 victory over Oregon State on a cold, rainy night in Corvallis.
The win moved ASU to 2-2 on the season, with wins in back-to-back games to end the regular season and make it bowl eligible.
