Entering tonight’s showdown against the Oregon Ducks, Arizona State is going old school with their uniforms in an effort to honor one of their fallen teammates who gave his life during military service.
The Sun Devils will be wearing throwback uniforms to honor Pat Tillman, who stared at the school and in the NFL before joining the military and serving overseas, where he was killed by friendly fire.
The uniforms are similar to the ones worn when Tillman played for the school, leading them to the 1997 Rose Bowl:
