The Arizona State football team finished the regular season 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-12 Conference.
It earned a college football berth in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl against Florida State.
The team is showing progress under coach Herm Edwards, but should it be showing more?
The answer to that question might be found in the words of Arizona State athletic director Ray Anderson from two years ago.
In a news conference announcing the firing of Todd Graham in 2017, Anderson said this:
“We want to compete for championships and we want to win consistently across the board in all of our sports,” Anderson said.
