Arizona State football coach Herm Edwards may be 65, but he shows no signs of slowing down. In fact he is adding responsibilities.
Edwards, who spent nearly a decade at ESPN before moving to Tempe and jumping back into the college coaching profession, is joining the faculty of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU.
Edwards will become a professor of practice at the school, serving as a guest lecturer in classes and conducting regular discussions on sports and the media at Cronkite.
He has been applauded for his dealings with the media and his practices of giving the media access to his athletes
“Coach Edwards has deep professional experiences in sports media, serving as an on-air analyst and commentator for ESPN,” Cronkite Dean Christopher Callahan said in a release.
