Arizona State is not America's team, but the Sun Devils definitely are America's evening team. Or at least one of the few.
When the Pac-12 announced this month that Saturday's homecoming contest against Washington State would start at 7 p.m., this put the Sun Devils on a different level in one respect:
They're the only Pac-12 school that will not have an afternoon home kickoff this season. After Saturday, ASU has one home game left – Nov. 10 against Utah. A Thursday night game, it kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
The Sun Devils haven't had all evening home kickoffs since 2007.
