TUCSON – The USA Today predictions for the New Year were mostly tongue in cheek, but two might serve as a warning to Arizona State officials.
They read:
No. 15. After leading Duke to its sixth national championship, coach Mike Krzyzewski retires.
No. 16. Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley, the former Blue Devils point guard, is named Krzyzewski’s successor.
First off, no one thinks Krzyzewski, 70, is retiring anytime soon.
