Arizona State men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley can get pretty fired up. A lot of times that comes out when he is arguing a foul call with an official.
The Sun Devils coach went full throttle after practice Thursday in an impromptu press conference. This time he defended the referees who officiated his team's 88-79 win over Prairie View A&M at Desert Financial Arena the previous night.
The contest featured 56 personal fouls and 84 free throws. ASU attempted 51 free throws (making 37), the same number of field goals it tried. Prairie View went 21 of 33 from the line.
