Arizona State will go into the 2021-2022 college baseball season with an entirely new coaching staff with no holdovers from the seven-year Tracy Smith regime. What it may lack in experience at the college level, it is making up for in enthusiasm which is good because the learning curve is a steep one.
New head coach Willie Bloomquist spoke with the media Monday for the first time since rounding out his staff, which includes Sam Peraza (pitching coach and recruiting coordinator), Mike Goff (player development, outfield, infield coach), Bill Mueller (volunteer hitting coach) and Travis Buck (role yet to be defined).
