Arizona State women’s basketball played better before its Dec. 29 loss to Arizona and much better since.
The question now is how No. 16 ASU will handle a rematch against No. 18 UA before a crowd that could approach 10,000 Friday in Tucson.
Amazingly, it’s the first rivalry meeting ever with both schools ranked in the Associated Press top 25. The Wildcats are seeking their first season series sweep since 2000 and first two-game win streak vs. the Sun Devils since 2003-04. ASU leads overall 64-35 going back to 1973.
