Scottsdale Saguaro safety K.J. Jarrell, an All-Arizona selection, announced his commitment to Arizona State on Wednesday in a ceremony at the school.
Jarrell chose Arizona State over USC and California.
He is the ninth Arizona high school prospect to commit to ASU for the 2017 recruiting class. He is also the fourth Saguaro player in this class.
Jarrell was named one of four defensive backs to make the All-Arizona team. He had 56 tackles, four interceptions and six pass breakups last season.
Jarrell, who played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, is the eighth Saguaro senior to commit to a Division I school.
