Aboites’ Mound Debut Highlights 5-3 Win At #23 Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. – Sun Devil Baseball tallied 10 hits and 10 strikeouts in a 5-3 win against No. 23 Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday night at Goodwin Stadium.

Starting right-hander Jordan Aboites (1-0), in his first appearance of the season, allowed just two runs on six hits across five innings and struck out six. He put the Titans down in order in the first to set the tone for the night and the Sun Devils (9-3) never trailed behind a balanced offensive attack.

First baseman David Greer, catcher Brian Serven and center fielder Andrew Shaps each tallied a pair of hits, and designated hitter Sebastian Zawada knocked in his eighth RBI in the past three games.
