TEMPE, Ariz.— Arizona State’s 38-year-old school record in the high jump was surpassed on Saturday when redshirt senior Bryan McBride cleared 2.30m (7-6.50) as the Sun Devils hosted the 2015 Duel In The Desert at Sun Angel Stadium.
“It’s a broken record almost, Bryan McBride, jumping 2.30m, 7.51m in the long jump, taking second in the triple jump, Shelby Houlihan having an outstanding double in the 1500m and the 3000m,” Director of Track and Field Greg Kraft said. “But for our team, Jamol James was a big deal today. 10.15 is a big deal. We have to be more than our stars, and today we really were.
