IRVINE, CALIF. – After a nail-biting overtime matchup, No. 10 Sun Devil Water Polo secured ninth place in the Barbara Kalbus Invitational by defeating No. 14 LMU, 17-15, on Sunday afternoon.
A 10 point performance by Itziar Almeda capped off the weekend as she was able to tally five goals and five assists in the win over LMU. Almeda scored the game winning goal in today's overtime match as well as yesterday's overtime match with No. 17 Indiana. Hannah McClaskey and Millie Quin each also contributed majorly to the score with four and five goals, respectively.
