DULUTH, Minn. – The No. 10 Arizona State ice hockey team suffered a heartbreaking loss, 3-2, in overtime at Minnesota Duluth (11-15-1, 7-10-0 NCHC) on Friday night. The loss snapped ASU's (17-11-1, 12-7-0 NCHC) program record-setting road win streak at six games.
The Sun Devils claimed one of the three possible conference points because the game went to overtime. Western Michigan and Omaha also went to overtime on Friday with WMU ultimately claiming the overtime win. The results of both games kept the top three spots in the NCHC standings exactly the same: WMU in the lead (42 points) and ASU tied with Omaha for second place (38 points).
