Graham will coach in the bowl game for the Sun Devils.
Arizona State has been on a sharp decline since posting back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2013 and 2014, going just 18-19 over the last three seasons - including a less-than-ideal 12-15 in conference play.
Despite a 7-5 mark this season, that drop-off put head coach Todd Graham firmly on the hot seat, as the program felt they going in the wrong direction.

The Sun Devils did finish the season winning three of their last four games, including a 42-30 victory over rival Arizona on Saturday, but school officials felt they weren't doing well enough.
