In a role reversal from earlier in the week, right-hander Zack Greinke’s injury from Wednesday afternoon no longer appears to be an issue while outfielder David Peralta’s crept back up, forcing him to be scratched from the lineup on Saturday.
Greinke exited his start on Wednesday with what was called “abdominal tightness,” but an MRI on Friday came back “clean,” in the words of manager Torey Lovullo, and Greinke threw a bullpen session without issue on Saturday afternoon.
“He’s going to start for us on Tuesday,” Lovullo said.
Peralta, however, who also left Wednesday’s game with tightness in his trap muscle in his right shoulder/neck area, played on Friday night but re-aggravated the injury diving for a ball in left field.
