The Diamondbacks have reached an agreement with free-agent, right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke. The deal is for six years; exact terms were not immediately known. USA TODAY's Bob Nightengale reports the deal is for $195 million.
That would be $32.5M per year, largest average annual value in baseball history. Like the Dbacks of old. https://t.co/emggZF9xDj

Greinke finished second in National League Cy Young voting after posting a 1.66 ERA and a 19-3 record this past season for the Dodgers. The 32-year-old pitched two games at Chase Field in 2015, going 2-0 without allowing a run in 15 innings.
