The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled Zack Godley from Mobile and have optioned Chase Anderson to the Reno Aces (AAA). The 25-year old University of Tennessee product returns to the desert after spending the last two weeks in Alabama with the Mobile BayBears. Meanwhile, Anderson’s demotion will give him some more time to recover from injury. Although it can be argued that the long 162-game season is at fault for Anderson’s declining effectiveness.
On July 23rd, Godley’s contract was selected from the Visalia Rawhide (A) and he was set to be a short term replacement in the rotation while Anderson was on the 15-day DL with right triceps inflammation.
